• Asian Women in Business Scholarship Fund –It offers female Asian students the chance to receive funding for an undergraduate business degree from an accredited US university.
• Fulbright Foreign Student Program – It is perhaps the most popular government-funded US scholarships for international students. Fulbright offers scholarships for graduate students, young professionals and artists to study in the US for one year or more. It is open to international students in all fields excluding medicine.
• Fulbright-Nehru Research Fellowships – It offers funding to outstanding Indian students wishing to pursue study at any level within an accredited US institution.
• S.N. Bose Scholars Student Exchange Program for Indian Students – It helps in providing opportunities to Indian researchers at master’s level or higher to specialize in a selected field of study in the field of science and technology at a university in the US.
• Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowships for Indian students – these scholarships are for Indian students to study at Stanford Graduate School of Business on the MBA program. Eligibility criteria specifies clearly that students must return to India within two years of completing their studies.
• Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial scholarship: The Rotary Foundation Grant can be used to fund scholarships by excellent outcomes in six areas of focus:
1. Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
2. Water and sanitation
3. Maternal and child health
4. Basic education and literacy
5. Economic and community development
6. Disease prevention and treatment
• The Indian Trust scholarship: The fellowship grants students a total sum of USD 10,000 to cover tuition fees while pursuing a full-time MBA at the Booth School of Business in Chicago.
• Tata Scholarship for Cornell University: The Tata Education and Development Trust ( Ratan Tata of Tata Sons Ltd.) has given a $25 million endowment to Cornell University to offer financial aid to underprivileged but meritorious Indian students who wish to study undergraduate courses at Cornell.
• American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship : The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship (AU EGL) scholarship is offered by the American University, Washington DC to pursue any field of undergraduate study at the University .This scholarship is aimed to help high-performing students pursue a Bachelor’s degree in the US. Students must be active in civic and social activities. Students who want to improve the under-resourced and unmerited communities back in their home country and are eligible otherwise must apply for this scholarship.

CANADA

1. University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship:
The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) rewards a total monetary award of $14,000 CAD for master’s degree studies and $18,000 CAD for doctorate degree studies. But students pursuing an MBA are ineligible for this particular fellowship.
Students are eligible to receive the UMGF during the first 24 months of their master’s program and the first 48 months of their doctorate program. The maximum duration of monetary support for an individual graduate student is 48 months.

2. University of Calgary Graduate Awards
The University of Calgary offers various awards, scholarships, and supports to meritorious Canadian and international students in diverse fields of study. The scholarships start at the high school level and extend up to doctoral studies.

3. Ontario Graduate Scholarships:
Ontario Graduate Scholarships are available to students pursuing doctoral studies in various areas at the University Of Toronto School Of Graduate Studies, which totals to $5,000 CAD per session. These scholarships are extended to Indian and international students. The maximum duration of these scholarships is 6 years .
4. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship: The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship is open to international students who are pursuing doctoral courses in various fields at Canadian educational institutions. The scholarship amount totals $50,000 CAD per year for a duration of three years. Students interested in pursuing doctoral courses in the areas of health research, national sciences, social sciences, engineering research, or humanities research can apply for this scholarship.
5. Ontario Trillium Scholarship :The Ontario Trillium Scholarship is projected towards postgraduates from around the world who want to pursue a doctorate degree in Ontario, Canada. A total of seven scholarships are granted every year. Each scholarship offers $40,000 CAD per year to cover tuition and other expenses for a period of four years.

Australia

• Australian Leadership Award– The beneficiaries of the Australian leadership Award undertake a Leadership Development Program which provides chances to enhance their leadership capacity and extend their association while in Australia.
• Australian Development Scholarship-Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) is for international students who wish to study in Australian Universities and return to their home country to contribute to the national and regional development of their country. ADS are available for undergraduate degrees, postgraduate degrees, PhD degrees and vocational education and training courses.
• International Postgraduate Research Scholarship -The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) allows foreign students to take on a postgraduate research qualification in Australia and gain experience working with leading Australian researchers. Funds are available for a period of 2 years for Master’s (via research) or 3 years for Doctorate through research.
• Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship Award-The Endeavour Postgraduate Award provides complete financial support for international students for 2 to 3.5 years to pursue masters or PhD either by coursework or research in Australia in any field of study. CSIRO Postgraduate Scholarship Program-The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) Postgraduate scholarship program provides opportunities in science and engineering for exceptional students who sign up with any Australian University or college as a full-time postgraduate student for research leading to PhD.
• Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarship-The Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships from Rotary Foundation of Rotary International provide funds for an academic year of study in Australia. This fund is meant to help pay costs related to round-trip transportation, course fee and living costs and at a flat grant amount of AU$27,000 for bachelors or masters or PhD in research or coursework.
• Indian Financial Assistance-The Indian government and non-governmental organizations provide scholarships and grants in the form of interest free loans to assist Indian students to study abroad.
• Postgraduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holder-The Postgraduate Merit Scholarship is awarded by University Grants Commission to students enrolled in post-graduation studies in the first year of a regular non-professional degree course in any renowned university .
• The Australia-India Strategic Research Fund-The Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF) allows Australian researchers from public and private sectors to contribute in leading-edge scientific research projects and workshops with Indian scientists and support the progress of strategic alliances between Australian and Indian researchers.

Germany

• Erasmus Mundus Scholarship – Erasmus is the largest provider of scholarships for study in the Europe .Erasmus Mundus is led by the European Commission, funding international students to study in Europe. It provides grants towards living costs when partaking in an exchange program to study in Europe.
• DAAD Scholarships – The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers many scholarships for international students to study in Germany.

Study Abroad Scholarships in;

New Zealand

• The Eamon Molloy Memorial Scholarship-The Eamon Molloy Memorial Scholarship is available to international students from Asia. The scholarship can only be availed to study at the University of Canterbury.
• University of Waikato Excellence Scholarship for Asia– It is intended to encourage excellence in education among Asian countries. The scholarship is available only to select Asian countries including India and prospective Pre-degree (foundation), undergraduate and postgraduate taught students can apply for it.
• University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship– Students pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Otago can avail funding under this scholarship scheme. Open to both domestic and international aspirants, candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the PhD can apply for it.
• A C Rayner Memorial Scholarship– The A.C. Rayner Memorial Scholarship was introduced in 1992 to encourage students to explore the field of economics while studying in New Zealand. The scholarship is open to only those students who want to pursue master’s degree in various areas of economics. Students who are planning to pursue both full time and part time courses at Lincoln University can apply for this merit-based scholarship.
• New Zealand International Undergraduate Fees Scholarship– Under this scheme, the New Zealand government provides financial support to international students seeking admission in full time undergraduate courses in the country’s universities .It is supported by the Education New Zealand Trust and is a completely merit based scholarship for students who have completed their secondary education.
• New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships– Under the Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) program, New Zealand offers the New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships to candidates from developing Commonwealth countries for postgraduate study (Master’s and PhD) in New Zealand universities. Funded by the New Zealand Aid Program, the scheme is managed by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. There are 8 universities that accept this scholarship including Auckland University of Technology.
